Entrepreneurship as career for Students

 

In the rising scenario of Startups in India, the Management Department of IHGI organized an Industry Expert Talk for the students on "Entrepreneurship as a career for Students". The guest speaker for the seminar was very renowned Er. Ashwani Kohli, Founder, MD, Bawa Industries, Phagwara. He acquainted the students with the skill set required to be a successful entrepreneur. He shared his life experiences with the students. The speaker also discussed about the different professions that the students can take up as Startups. He also made them conversant with various Government Schemes which can help an Entrepreneur to get established.

Business Plan competition

To develop the Entrepreneurial temperament in students, Business Plan competition was organized by the Management Department. Total 10 teams participated in the event. Students presented novel business ideas through PPT. Few of the Business Ideas were: Veda Huts, Waste2wealth, Health Change, Solar Hack (Solar Rickshaw), Goblin FunHouse, Sukh Digital etc.
