The Mental Well-Being Club of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions organized an energizing Yoga Session for students on March 2, 2026, under “Disha – An Initiative” conducted by the Bawri Memorial Educational and Medical Trust in collaboration with the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). The session aimed to raise awareness about the importance of physical fitness, mental health, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle among students.
The event was organized as part of the “Special Service Fortnight” (February 24 – March 10) celebrating the 75th Foundation Year of ESIC, which focuses on promoting health awareness and community outreach. The session was graced by Mr. Hemraj Rana, Branch Manager, ESIC, along with other distinguished dignitaries.
Experienced yoga instructors Ms. Sarita Malhotra and Mr. Sachin Chadha from the District Ayurvedic and Unani Office guided students through various yoga asanas, pranayama techniques, stretching exercises, and meditation practices. They also explained the scientific benefits of yoga for stress management, improved concentration, and overall well-being. Students participated enthusiastically, experiencing a calm and positive atmosphere that encouraged them to incorporate yoga into their daily routine.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Dhanju, Director Academics, IHGI, followed by the presentation of green saplings to the guests as a token of appreciation.
