Chill & Skill Session at IHGI: Promoting Mental Well-Being and Positive Mindset

The Counselling Cell of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions organized an engaging “Chill & Skill Session” aimed at promoting mental well-being and stress management among students. The session was conducted by Ms. Sharmila Nakra, CBSE Resource Person and Deputy Director – Cultural Affairs, who created a supportive and interactive environment for students to express themselves and grow emotionally.

The session featured a variety of creative and meaningful activities designed to encourage self-awareness and positivity. Through the Newspaper Activity, students celebrated their individuality and uniqueness. The Balloon Activity helped them release stress and let go of negative thoughts, while the Positive Thinking Tree inspired them to build optimism and emotional strength.

Students actively participated in all activities, feeling relaxed, motivated, and more aware of their emotions. The session effectively emphasized the importance of self-acceptance, positivity, and maintaining mental well-being.

The Chill & Skill Session proved to be a valuable initiative, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to nurturing happier, healthier, and emotionally strong individuals.

Bon Voyage 2026: A Memorable Farewell Celebration at IHGI

Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, Loharan, organized a vibrant and heartfelt Farewell Party “Bon Voyage 2026” to bid a warm farewell to its final-year students. The event brought together dignitaries, faculty members, students, and staff to celebrate memorable moments and achievements of the graduating batch.

The celebration began with the welcome of the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Aastha Bowry, along with respected dignitaries including Dr. Anup Bowry (Chairman), Mrs. Sharmila Nakra (Deputy Director, Cultural Affairs), and Dr. Dheeraj Banati (Deputy Director, Expansions). The ceremonial lamp lighting marked the beginning of a lively event filled with music, performances, and joyful interactions.

A major highlight of the event was the “Memory Walk” ramp show, where students showcased their confidence and style. The celebration featured a variety of performances and activities, adding excitement and energy to the occasion. Students were honored with several titles in recognition of their talent and personality, including:

Students of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, Loharan celebrated Baisakhi with great enthusiasm through a unique cultural village visit, immersing themselves in the rich traditions and vibrant lifestyle of rural Punjab. The experience provided students with an opportunity to connect with the roots of Punjabi culture and understand the essence of community living.

The celebration was filled with lively boliyan, folk songs, and traditional elements such as phulkari and sanjha chulha, reflecting the true spirit of Punjabiyat. Students actively participated in cultural activities, embracing the joy, unity, and heritage associated with the festival.

The visit served as a meaningful reminder that Baisakhi is not just a festival but a way of life, deeply rooted in tradition, togetherness, and cultural pride. Management Quiz Competition at IHGI Promotes Knowledge, Teamwork, and Competitive Spirit

 The Management Department of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions successfully organized an engaging Quiz Competition, witnessing enthusiastic participation from 75 students across MBA, BBA, and B.Com programs. The event aimed to enhance students’ knowledge, confidence, and team spirit through interactive learning experiences.

The competition featured two informative rounds covering Current Affairs and Management concepts, followed by exciting team-based challenges including logo identification, taglines, personality recognition, and audio rounds. These activities tested the participants’ awareness, analytical thinking, and quick decision-making skills.

Team C emerged as the winner, with Anmol (B.Com 2nd Semester), Bandana (B.Com 2nd Semester), and Simranpreet Kaur (BBA 4th Semester) showcasing exceptional performance. The First Runner-Up position was secured by Team B, comprising Amrit Banger, Sanjana, and Navjit Kaur.

The competition provided a platform for students to display their knowledge, teamwork, and hidden talents. It encouraged healthy competition and fostered confidence among participants, aligning with the institution’s commitment to holistic development and academic excellence.

 The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions organized an insightful workshop on “Outcome-Based Education: Integrating Teaching, Learning, and Research” to strengthen academic practices and promote research-oriented teaching among faculty members.

The session was conducted by Dr. Varinder Singh Rana, an eminent academician and global hospitality expert, who shared valuable insights on modern education systems, curriculum design, and quality standards in higher education. He emphasized the importance of research as an integral part of an educator’s professional growth and encouraged faculty to actively contribute to innovation and knowledge creation.

The workshop introduced faculty members to advanced teaching methodologies, highlighting the transition from Pedagogy and Andragogy to Heutagogy, focusing on self-determined learning. It also covered essential aspects of curriculum planning, including course design, lesson planning, and the application of Bloom’s Taxonomy to achieve effective learning outcomes.

A key highlight of the session was the detailed explanation of Course Outcomes (COs) and Program Outcomes (POs) mapping, aligning academic practices with global quality standards. The interactive nature of the workshop provided participants with practical insights into implementing outcome-based education effectively.

Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Dhanju, Director Academics, appreciated the initiative and thanked the resource person for the enriching session, encouraging faculty to continuously enhance their academic and research capabilities.
